Beyond Reach (Grant County, #6)

Beyond Reach (Grant County, #6) - Karin Slaughter Never before has a book made me cry so hard. I was totally surprised by the ending and I can understand, why Karin wrote this letter to explain her motives for what she'd done. She was very brave and she has all my respect for doing what she did.I don't want to give away any of the plot, but it was the most heart-breaking one. And now, after a few more books of this series I'm finally starting to get over the shock - but it's still there and the series (and its characters) will never be the same for me again.

Faithless (Grant County, #5)

Faithless (Grant County, #5) - Karin Slaughter I liked this book much better the second time around.

A Faint Cold Fear (Grant County, #3)

A Faint Cold Fear (Grant County, #3) - Karin Slaughter Even after reading this series the third or fourth time it never gets boring. It gets more exiting and amazing every time.

Criminal (Will Trent, #6)

Criminal (Will Trent, #6) - Karin Slaughter This book was the one I most looked forward to to be released in 2012 and I could hardly wait for it to be sent to be kindle. And although I was so eagerly waiting for it I went into the book spoiler-free. I had no idea what I had to expect and when I found out that most parts of the book would be set in the past, dealing with the earlier life of Amanda I wasn't very happy. I felt it took away too much from my favourite characters - Will and Sara and also Faith - and since Amanda was never a character I was really interested in, I was a bit disappointed after reading the first quarter of the book. But this feeling very much changed once I got used to the 1970s plot and learned how it all affected the present times, I very much enjoyed the book. It was an interesting plot, many red herrings I had no idea what to make of them, and in the end ... well, in the end it all made perfect sense and Karin Slaughter delivered the happy ending (sort of) I had expected. Now I even like Amanda and I can see what made her the person she is today and why she does things in her way.I hope the next book will be as awesome as all books Karin Slaughter wrote featuring Sara and Will.

Weil ich euch liebte: Thriller

Weil ich euch liebte - Linwood Barclay, Silvia Visintini It took me a while to get into the story but in the end it was a surprising twist and everything made sense.

Ashfall

Ashfall - Mike Mullin Wow, what a book ... I couldn't stop reading until I had finished it last night.I loved it. It was scary, romantic, full of action and it got me thinking. At first I had to get used to the narrative style the author used but it got better after a couple of pages - or maybe I just accepted the fact that this was written from a 16-year-old boy's POV...I don't know. All I know is that I look forward to October when the second book will be released. I need to know what will happen to the characters.

11th Hour (Womens Murder Club 11)

11th Hour - Maxine Paetro, James Patterson I still love this series! This installment wasn't the best of the series but I still enjoyed reading every chapter.

Die Spur der Kinder

Die Spur der Kinder - Hanna Winter I've read fanfiction that was better written but for a first book it was okay.

Solange du da bist: Roman

Solange du da bist - Marc Levy Not the kind of book/writing style I prefer. I finished it anyway but still ... Probably the first and last book of him I'll ever read.

Der Anschlag

Der Anschlag - Stephen King, Wulf Bergner This was the first time Stephen King made me cry :( I don't know why King thinks he can't write romance ... it was perfect! I loved this book from the first minute up to the very last (I listened to the German audiobook). It was big and at times I was starting to feel a bit lost but in the end it was just great.I'd love to start listening the book all over again. And maybe I will at some point.

Fünf

Fünf - Ursula Poznanski Loved it. Now I want to start geocaching myself ... ;)
