The Basement

The Basement - Stephen Leather Disturbing, thrilling and surprising in the end. I did not see that coming. Not at all.

Seriously...I'm Kidding

Seriously... I'm Kidding - Ellen DeGeneres I decided to start this book during lunch break today. Bad idea. Really bad ... I couldn't stop laughing and I think it annoyed my colleague because she didn't know what was going on ;)

A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1)

A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin This book is part of a genre I don't read and don't want to read at all. Why I did start reading it I can't say. All I know is that I can't wait to start the next one...

Der Fledermausmann: Harry Holes erster Fall

Der Fledermausmann: Harry Holes erster Fall - Jo Nesbo I listened to the abridged audio book in German. I am not sure if that's the reason why I felt so lost at times because they shortened it too much (and maybe at the wrong places) but overall it was a good book with an interesting main character. If I get the chance I might read/listen to the other books of the series.

mord.net: Thriller

mord.net - Dan Buthler, Dag Öhrlund, Sabine Thiele Clever plot and although it was sometimes a bit confusing with all the different plots and characters everything made sense in the end.I liked the German audio version a lot.

Still Missing - Kein Entkommen: Thriller

Still Missing: Kein Entkommen - Chevy Stevens I guess this is a case of too high expectations.I really liked the first half of the book and I could hardly stop reading. But that changed in the second half and I was so disappointed how everything was explained and how certain plotlines ended. Those 3 stars are actually 3.5 stars.

Delirium (Delirium, #1)

Delirium (Delirium, #1) - Lauren Oliver It took me a while to get into this story and I have to admit that I abandoned the books for a couple of weeks. But when I was trying to decide with WIP to finish this year it was Delirium. It was still waiting on my kindle for me and after reading a few more pages I was totally caught up in the story. I could hardly stop to go to bed.The writing was beautiful and although the idea of dystopia isn't really new I loved the various aspects Lauren Oliver added to the overall idea.I loved it and I can't wait for the next installment of the series. I need to know what will happen to Lena, Alex and Hana and everyone else I met in this universe.

Before I Go to Sleep

Before I Go To Sleep - S J Watson I've listened to the english version of the audiobook and I really, really liked it a lot. I love those books where you think you know the answer on one page and then you are proven wrong on the next one. While reading this you feel a lot like the main character, trying desperately to make sense of all of this while, at the same time, trying to figure out who to trust and who not.It was a rollercoaster ride from the first minute/page to the last.

Tote Mädchen lügen nicht

Tote Mädchen lügen nicht - Jay Asher It wasn't bad. But it wasn't that good either. I found it very difficult to read because of the changing pov.

5 Sterne!

Skin

Skin - Mo Hayder The book wasn't that bad and I'd like to give 3.5 stars instead of only 3, but since that's not possible ...I felt bored at times and there wasn't really a thrill in the plot. I wasn't disgusted as I had been with the other books of the series and I couldn't really warm up with the characters.I don't know if this is the book's fault or my own since it had been too long since I last read the third book. *shrugs* I will still read the next one, though. Probably ...
